How To Improve Spoken English

I am still learning English at school but much is reading and writing. At the moment not much speaking is being done. Reading and writing are improving but many times there is no sense and people are confused!

I know a little bit of English. Not very much. I do try. When I talk to native English speaker, I am shy. I do not want to make mistake and be laughed at! How can I be more comfortable speaking English?

Hi there. How often should I read a book in order to improve my English. I find it hard to perfect the English grammar and when I’m talking to someone I’m really shy so then my English is not as good as I use to. What do think in my English is it okay?

So now you know my English a little bit, what do you think? How often? Lastly how to be confident when talking?

I am from India. I can talk fluently, but sometimes I make mistakes/get stuck little bit. So I want to chat daily online. Is Yahoo Messenger the best option? And how can I get someone to chat with me? Please suggest. Thanks
