I been in USA for about 5 years and i am feeel really bad because i dont dominate the ENGLISH language 100% probably about 85% i realized my verbals skills are bad my pronunciation of some words is really difficult i am still going to collge but i been there a year and is just the same. This is limiting me in so many ways like getting a better job or socialize more . What do you think is the best way to improve pronunciation skills i already took a pronun. class but it was useless ?

I’ve been studying English for four year and until now I can’t speak English fluently, I am going to have my On the Job Training for the next 3 months and still i’m not improving in speaking in English. can you please give me some guidelines, tips or website that I can use to improve my English speaking skills? I’m a chinese girl,and now my job is merchandiser of an export company,i need develop my own customer at exhibitions,but my english is so poor that i can’t communicate with customers very well,in that case, i hardly do business ,could anyone help me?

I just got this job and the boss positioned me place like where you take orders from the phone and you put it on the computer and stuff…

My problem is that i dont have confidence in my english accent… and i’m afraid that i might stutter or won’t speak up as much on the phone. How do you improve it?

Im currently doing year 12 at school and im aporled at the english sylabis, they dont teach how to read or wright or even spell anymore, they have staff rooms full of socialogists who dont teach us the things we need for society and to obtain a job, rather they teach us about communist ideas and idealistic ways of society, and i would love to know why we are learning this? This isnt english, fiar enough if people want to learn this than they should have a class for socialolgy, but english should be left for english. and what makes worse is its compulsory, why is this so? i dont need to learn about the chips these people have on their sholders from society.

my friend speaks spanish and he works in a restaurant and wants to learn english enough to get out his job, but doesn’t want to spend too much money on materials such as Rosetta Stone. is there another place where he can purchase workbooks and worksheets to learn?

Something I realized in the past 24 hours: One of the few areas of medicine I *like* is medical translation. Not translation of English medical terminology to another language’s medical terminology. The translation between medical jargon and regular language. I like explaining things to people. I love it when they understand. I like it so much, one of my highlights of OB-GYN surgery elective in January was, after my attending left, fielding their questions about cervical dysplasia and explaining everything to them simply and even with drawings I made up on the fly. Is there a job like that? Can I be a patient explainer?
